C'mon out for an evening of Education, Conversation, Connection and Fun!

7:00 - 8:30 p.m. in Patt's cozy Haddon Township NJ living room.

$30 in advance, $35 at the door and $25 per cafe if you register for two or more cafes.

Simply email Patt stating the title of the Cafe you choose to attend. You will then receive details and payment procedure.

What is a Conversation Cafe? It's a comfortable forum where Boomer Chicks gather together for an evening of Positive Conversation, Community and Learning with light snacking and sipping on the side. 

Where and When? In Patt's cozy Haddon Township NJ Living Room on Monday evenings, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., once a month, October through May.

How Much? $30 prior to each session or $35 at the door. NOTE: $25 per session if registering for two or more cafes.

What's Included? A guided lesson and discussion on the topic for the evening, related activities, take-home resources. Plus wine and/or hot tea and light snacks.

Living Deliberately; As If It Really Mattered: An Introduction to the Process of Meditation

Join Meditation Practitioner Anne Knoll, as she discusses the concepts of meditation and mindfulness living; what they are, how they are related, how they influence deliberate living and how you can begin to bring the process of meditation into your life. 

Anne Knoll has been a Meditation Practitioner for 16 years. Her creative areas include photography, writing, directing, acting, creative coaching and facilitating workshops.

Explore Your Creative Process

Gail Priest, Haddon Heights Author, will discuss the inspiration for her Annie Crow Knoll series and share some of her creative process. She will guide you through a creativity exercise, writing prompts and an adult coloring experience, offering you an opportunity to explore your creativity in a supporting atmosphere.

Gail Priest's career in performing arts and education has allowed her to enjoy various roles as teacher, adjunct college professor, guidance counselor, actor, director and writer.

This Conversation Cafe is for Boomer Chicks who need help with their memorabilia, collectibles, photos and cherished items, as well as those items that have accumulated from their children, parents and grandparents! You will learn how to keep what is most precious, how to store it and how to "pass it along."

Nancy Underwood of Organized For Life! is an expert in home organizing, home staging as well as a trainer and speaker serving South Jersey counties since 2008. Bringing her wide range of experience as well as her trademark humor, Nancy simplifies the organizing process and creates an atmosphere where everyone can easily transition her techniques to practical use.

An Introduction to Bhangra Dancing

Bhangra is a traditional, joyful and vigorous folk dance originating from Punjab, India. Village folk performed Bhangra while celebrating the harvest season. Bhangra, typically performed in a team or group, involves co-ordination, timing and technique among the performers, resulting in highly energetic choreography. The beats and rhythms of Bhangra can entice anyone to join the fun!

Herman Singh, a dance enthusiast from the beginning, has been performing Indian folk dance all her life. Bhangra is her specialty as she is from the region of Punjab, India, where this dance originated and is performed traditionally for all festive occasions. Additionally, Herman manages a successful restaurant business with her husband, Chef Vipul Bhasin. With majors in hospitality management and catering, both Chef Vipul and Herman run their restaurants, Coriander in Voorhees NJ and Indiya in Collingswood NJ, with gracious service and taste.

A Death Cafe 

Boomers do everything a bit differently, so why not death? A Death Cafe is a guided event, led by a professional in the field, for the purpose of increasing awareness of death in order to help folks make the most of their finite lives. A Death Cafe is thought-provoking, stimulating, and delicious; a forum where people drink tea, eat sweet treats, and explore new possibilities and ideas about death, all in a safe and nurturing space. 
Debra Silver is an LCP in private practice in Atlantic County. She is the past president of NAMI Atlantic Cape and the Atlantic County Mental Health Advisory Board. She is a monitor at NJ Psychiatric Hospitals. Debra has presented Death Cafes to medical staff, museums, libraries, hospices, senior grief groups, substance rehabilitation facilities and university venues.
