Boomer Chick Adventures are half-day or day-long outings guided by Adventure Coach and Boomer Chick, Patt Osborne. These adventures, while mostly outdoor activities, are sprinkled with theater and creative indoor events throughout the year. Boomer Chick Adventures are open to Baby Boomer women who have a yearning for fun and play and new experiences, while enjoying the company of like-minded adventurers.

But don't let the name "Boomer Chick" fool ya! We welcome women and men of ALL ages. If you too love playful adventures and enjoy the camaraderie of others, you're in!

A Year of Adventure

Happy New Year!

2012 is the year I turn hard to believe; especially when I still feel like 30- something (My mirror then brings me up to speed.)

When I turned 50, I made it a yearlong celebration. Throughout the year, I hosted a weekend birthday gathering for my family, went to Paris, and took myself on a week-long solitary getaway to the Pacific Northwest.

For my 60th, I've decided to make it a Year of Adventure. Each month I intend to do something that I've never done before. Some months might include a physical adventure while others may be a little different like not eating meat for a month or trying out a new exercise.

January's adventure was definitely a physical one. My husband and I make an annual trek to St. John in the US Virgin Islands. For the last couple of years, I've wanted to do some stand-up paddle boarding on one of their beautiful bays. I spent an afternoon on a rental board while there a few weeks ago. It was a very Zen-like experience paddling on those calm, quiet waters AND a perfect way to start a Year of Adventure!

As each new month arrives, I'll decide what adventure I want to explore and watch it unfold.

What about YOU? What adventures might you want to bring onto your life in 2012? Not sure? The journey into the unknown is certainly an adventure for me...and maybe for you, too. Keep me posted...I'd love to hear what you come up with! Or... come join me for a Boomer Chick Adventure if you want some company!
